Proposal Name:
FRICOC – A Framework for Intelligent Content Creation
Subject:
The main
objective of this project is to develop a self- adaptive intelligent content
creation framework that uses context information and user's goals, preferences
and previous behavior. Similar systems generally use conventional mining
techniques. FRICOC project aims to provide semantically-rich and more precise
self-adaptable multi-lingual content by combining web mining and semantic web
approaches.
Proposal Outline:
Personal consumption of adaptive, self-aware web page
content is an important research direction pointed by European Commission.
There has been several works on generating dynamic, personalized web content,
however, there is still a large room for improvements due to semantic web and
more enhanced data mining techniques. First of all, it is necessary to provide
improvement in performance in terms how well the content matches the user's
goals. Secondly, the application area is generally limited to certain e-commerce
environments. We aim to extend the available results in both of these directions, both improve the performance and provide
application on a different area.
In this project, we plan to generate a framework that
generates self-aware, adaptive content for the users in a specific domain
according to preference, goal and behavior information. By this way, the users
will be able to access to the most relevant content and use the available
information in the most effective way.
Keywords: self-aware,
adaptive content, personalization, multi-lingual, semantic web, web usage
mining.
Required skills and Expertise:
End user's are sought for to provide log and web
content data
Technology providers (universities, research centers
or SME's) are sought for to contribute to ontology management.
Technology providers (universities, research centers

Technology providers (universities, research centers
or SME's) are sought for to contribute to processing of multimedia data.
Description of work to be carried out by the
partner(s) sought:
End users are expected to provide data and deploy the
developed software on their sites.
Technology providers will clean/generate ontology for
the web data, will generate multi-lingual versions of the adaptive content and
will semantically process multimedia data in the web content.
