I am an Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Engineering
in Harran University located at the Şanlıurfa.
My current research primarily focuses on visual privacy protection. I also interest on HDR imaging and machine learning.
I received both my PhD and MSc degrees from the Department of Computer Engineering
at Middle East Technical University respectively in 2017 and 2011.
I did my PhD under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuz Akyüz
and got my master degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fatoş Yarman Vural
and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Kalkan.
I obtained my BSc degree from the
Department of Computer Engineering at Selcuk University in 2007.
During my PhD, I visited the Multimedia Signal Processing Group (MMSPG)
laboratory at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
as a visiting researcher between January-March 2016.
[February 2019] My research project proposal, "Privacy Protection for HDR Images", granted by Harran University HUBAK for 12 months, Feb. 2019 - Feb. 2020.
[November 2018] I will give a seminar related on Visual Privacy Protection at Eurasia Graphics 2018, on November 16th 2018.
[August 2018] I am looking for graduate students, for MSc Degrees, who are interested in computer vision and machine learning. Application deadline is September 2, 2018.
[May 2018] I will evaluate graduation projects as a jury member for METU CENG Demo Day 2018 contest, at Middle East Technical University, on June 2nd 2018.
[January 2018] I am going to moderate a panel entitled "Recent Technologies and Engineers of the Future", at Bogazici University, on February 11th 2018.
[December 2017] I am going to give a seminar on Visual Privacy Protection Using False Colors, for Multimedia Informatics at METU Informatics Institute on January 3rd 2018.
[December 2017] My PhD thesis awarded METU Thesis of the Year Award given by the
Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation.
